Abrasive belt CS 341 X – the stable wide belt made especially for non-ferrous metal, steel and stainless steel

The abrasive belts CS 341 X by Klingspor is ideally suited for knife grinding. The backing used for the wide belt CS 341 X is a waterproof abrasive cloth that comes with a tear-resistant cotton backing. These properties make this abrasive belt ideal for wet grinding on steel and stainless steel as well as on NF metals, i.e. non-ferrous metals not containing any iron. It is also a particularly good choice for centreless and surface grinding as well as for knife grinding. The abrasive belt CS 341 X is available in a variety of different versions:

• Shape 1 (joint cut with a bevel and joined with an overlap)
• Shape 2 (joint cut with a bevel and joined with an overlap – the grain points are ground down at the butt joint)
• Shape 3 G (butt joint with a zigzag pattern and supported with a fabric-reinforced film bonded underneath)
• Shape 4 G (butt joint cut with a bevel and supported with a fabric-reinforced film bonded underneath)

Grain, backing and bonding: designed to withstand exceptionally high loads

The abrasive belt is equipped with aluminium oxide grain. This ensures that the workpiece will be given a uniform finish. The backing of the abrasive belt CS 341 X is a cloth backing made of X-cotton and featuring a grain bonding that is based on synthetic resin. These properties make the belt exceptionally tear-resistant and perfectly suited for sanding processes carried out at high speed. Designed especially for work on steel and other types of metal, the abrasive belt CS 341 X has been given a combination of an aluminium oxide grain, a synthetic resin bond and an X-cotton cloth backing. Resistant to moisture and humidity, this belt is also an exquisite choice for wet grinding.
